We are incredibly grateful to Joe Askins of AutoExpress for gifting our organization the Loving Giving Local donation. We also appreciate WJET and Lou Baxter for such a great job covering White Pine Center for Healing during 2026 Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Because of AutoExpress’s generous donation, we are able to continue expanding our online resources and strengthening our prevention programming in local schools.

As Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026 (February 23 – March 1) comes to a close, we’re reflecting with gratitude and excitement. On February 23rd, White Pine Center for Healing hosted Every Body Has A Story at the Mercy Center Anchor Building in Erie.

On October 22nd, our team at White Pine Center for Healing had our second Lunch And Learn event at Erie’s Commonwealth Charter Academy to share our Confident Body, Confident Child program, an evidence-based initiative focused on preventing poor body image in children and nurturing lifelong confidence.

The turnout was amazing. We were blown away by the number of educators, parents, and supporters who showed up ready to learn, connect, and have honest conversations.

Our evidence-based prevention programs are in high demand!

On February 27th, 2023 our staff and members of our community gathered at Dobbins Landing to witness the Bicentennial Tower light up in blue and green lights to commemorate National Eating Disorders Awareness Week for the very first time.

During Eating Disorder Awareness Week, White Pine Center for Healing was featured on several local news stations for our Light Campaign.

White Pine Center for Healing was awarded a $10,000 grant for our Eat Breathe Thrive program from the Aerie Real Foundation!
