Commemorating Eating Disorder Awareness Week- Our New Collaboration with Primary Health Network

Every Body Has A Story:

A Powerful Close to Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026

As Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026 (February 23 – March 1) comes to a close, we’re reflecting with gratitude and excitement. On February 23rd, White Pine Center for Healing hosted Every Body Has A Story at the Mercy Center Anchor Building in Erie.

What began as a commemorative reception quickly became a defining moment for our organization and the Northwest Pennsylvania community. During the event, Executive Director Mary E. Machuga and organizational leadership unveiled a major initiative to expand White Pine Center’s services across NWPA. This expansion focuses on increasing access to prevention, intervention, education, advocacy, and support — including the development of a safe, judgment-free online community designed to reduce isolation and stigma.

The Primary Health Network

Our New Collaboration

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of our new collaboration with Primary Health Network (PHN).

This partnership will:

  • Extend our geographic reach

  • Strengthen connections to care

  • Integrate eating disorder prevention and support within broader healthcare settings

  • Ensure more individuals and families across NWPA have access to vital resources

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected network of care.

As we close out this year’s awareness week, we are not slowing down – we are stepping forward. Every body has a story, and through collaboration, compassion, and community, we are committed to making sure no one has to face theirs alone.
